Some things turn out to be the best when they are unplanned! This year the month of May was jam packed! We had two weddings, 2 birthdays and just a lot going on this month! I was feeling like we were so busy, we didn't have any quality "family time," so one day we woke up and decided to put the kids in the car and head to Chicago! No plan, no agenda, and no curfew and it turned out to be one of the best days ever!
We started off by taking the kids walking around downtown and stopping at American Girl store for Juls

This was picture in the "family bathroom" at American girl! The kids were so impressed that we were all able to go into the bathroom together and Jack thought it was so cool that there was a couch in there! LOL

Navy Pier
We brought the kids to Navy Pier where we took a wonderful, relaxing boat ride on Lake Michigan! Afterwards, the big kids went on the ferris wheel with Mike!
You can kind of see Juls and Mike in the ferris wheel!
Joey and I stayed behind because he needed a nap! :) Sweet boy! He was slightly upset when he woke up and realized he missed the ferris wheel!
They were having a Pepsi Challenge when we were there! The kids each did it! Go Juls!

Then we went to the Hershey store! What a fun place! The kids love filling their buckets with candy and getting their candy factory hats!
Joey was so excited to "turn the wheel!"

The kids were so well behaved and we had a blast!
On our way home, we stopped for dinner at Maggianos. We had dinner outside on the porch, it was such a beautiful and relaxing night. I cannot remember a day where I have had this much fun for quite some time! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and three amazing kids!
