We have been anxiously awaiting August all summer long! It almost felt as if we were wishing away the summer but what we were waiting for was VACATION! Michael and I each had a week off to spend with the family! We headed out of town for a few days early in the week! New Buffalo, MI was the destination!
Look at these smiling faces! We picked them up from Noni and Papa's early in the morning to head out to Michigan! The drive was not bad, just a few hours. The only bad thing was Michael's driving! I think he almost killed us three times! But, we finally arrived safely!
We quickly put the kids to work carrying in the luggage! LOL
I always love watching the kids enter a hotel room! As an adult, you forget how absolutely fabulous everything about a hotel is!! They loved everything from the key, to the coffee pot to the "old fashioned" phone! LOL

We decided to hit up the beach and stop for lunch on the way there! We found some little lunch place that "looked" good. Well, I guess looks can be deceiving! It was super gross! But, didn't stop us! We just decided we would have an extra large dinner! LOL

Julia being silly trying on Jack's glasses! We noticed that her eye went "lazy" a few days before vacation! So, we are sure glasses will be in her future so she was just preparing! LOL
We stopped at a kmart before hitting the beach to grab buckets and shovels! Jack decided to try a few things on as well! LOL
