It is amazing how fast 6 years have flown by! I am so proud to watch how Jack has matured into such a strong, caring, energetic and hillarious little boy! He is so fun to be around. He loves his brother and sister more than anything. He shows me and time and time again how compassionate and caring he can be (clearly you can tell he has a social worker as a mama!). He is so smart, prior to kindergarten Jack did not have much interest in "learning" he was way more hands on. Now, he has blossomed intellectually! He reads books, amazes me with his insights and is so smart when it comes to Math!! Sometimes when he says "hey mom, want to hear me count to 400 (or some other crazy high number), i have to remember to be patient and listen attentively! He is proud of himself and I am proud of him and always want him to remember that! :)

he loves love loves to play anything with weapons. Constantly wants to play cops and bad guys! Probably has a little too much Mike in him when it comes to playing rough but I wouldnt have it any other way!
he is so patient with Julia and Joey. He gets frustrated but he really works it out. He definitely has a "scaredy cat" side to him. We joke becuase he still sleeps in our bed, refuses to go anywhere w/o a light on and usually will not go to the bathroom unless someone walks him over there. I think its less out of fear and more out of habit. Mike and I have given up on walking him to the bathroom each time he has to pee, so he has recruited Julia to stand outside and talk to him while he goes! It is funny to watch. Julia gets irritated at times. We hear her say "jack, this is the last time, i am sick of taking you pee..." But, she is a gentle soul and always takes him anyways! :)
Joey is mesmerized by his big brother Jack. He worships everything Jack does. He imitates his words, motions, personality, everything. It is amazing to see!
jack always wants to play school with Juls. THey are still working out who is the boss!! :)
So, to sum it up, Jack Michael Dergance, WE LOVE YOU. On March 6, 2006 my world changed forever. You came into this world 4 weeks early which gave me a heart attack and you have continued to make us laugh, bring us joy and make my life complete! :)
