PBS Fun Walk!

Nickie and I decided it would be fun to take the kids to Chicago for the PBS fun run. So we all loaded up and headed to Chicago. It was fun, we had quite a group. It was me, mike, jack and juls, nickie, nick, haylie and charlie and then Nickie's mom, dad and brother! It was so much fun! Hot day, but fun. The kids got tons of free give aways and were able to get their pic by different characters from PBS. We never did make it to the 3k walk becuase we were doing all of the activities but that was okay!

And, then there was the Curious George incident. We stood in line for like an hour waiting to see Curious George who was one of the main attractions. The kids were so excited to see him. Well, as it was finally our turn, the kisd jumped up to see him and get their pic and then you saw George just start walking away to one of the volunteers. George said to the volunteer "im done" and the guy was like, "come on George, a few more pics" and then George just passed out! Hit the ground hard!!

Well, all you hear is tons of kids start crying and parents being like "turn around" in an attempt to get their kids to not see George passed out on the ground! So, Nick jumps into action and starts trying to rip the head piece off of George which is causing kids to cry more because he was exposing the person inside of George! So, turns out it was a young girl inside the costume who just got way too overheated! Thankfully Nick gave her water and stuff to help her feel better. But, that meant no George! So, they sent in a replacement, Clifford!

They also had huge bouncy things and the kids loved the slides as you can clearly see!! Juls loving the slide!

After the fun walk we headed across the street to get a little lunch!

All in all they had a super fun day! Nickie and I have already decided that we are going back again next year!
