Well, Julia started wearing glasses in September hoping to correct her "lazy eye." Unfortunately the glasses have not been doing the trick. At this point, the only way to correct her eye muscles is to do it surgically. We met with her doctor today and discussed this procedure. Julia will be getting eye surgery at the end of January. In eye world, this is a fairly simple procedure so that is re-assuring, but to a mother no surgery is "okay."
Here is Juls sitting in the chair at the eye doctors office! She did get pretty upset when he heard the word surgery, but I think it was mostly because getting her MRI in September was fairly traumatizing for her! We quickly decided that a "surgery party" would be in order afterwards so that definitely brightened her mood! So, if you are interested in attending the "surgery party!" let me know!
