The day finally came for Julia's strabismus repair surgery. The pic below with her and Joey shows exactly why this surgery is so important. Her eye is "lazy" and it makes it difficult for her to focus and concentrate because she has to work "extra hard" to see. This was a really scary day for us, but we knew we were in good hands with Dr. Steve and the Children's Hospital staff in Peoria.
This little patient was ready to go super early in the morning for us to head to Peoria! :) She was scared but stayed really brave!
Who could ask for a cuter patient! The nurses even dressed up her monkey! When the time came for them to wheel her back to surgery, they took her away in a wagon and she go to parade down the halls waving to all the doctors and nurses! What an awesome place!
Then it was the waiting game! What a scary few hours for us!
