A Christmas Miracle!!

If you remember from a few weeks ago, I wrote about Maddie being very sick and needing a very expensive operation. Well, we had tried antibiotics and unfortunately they did not work so we had to make the really difficult decision to put her to sleep because we could not afford the surgery.

It was a hard decision but we did not want her to be suffering or in pain so Mike brought her in on Monday night to be put to sleep. After Mike left the room to wait to be able to take her home to bury her, the doctor called him back in. The doctor said that Maddie was such a good dog and Mike and the rest of the family had such a great bond with her that he could not bring himself to put her to sleep so.....HE DID THE SURGERY FOR FREE!

When Michael called me to tell me I had been crying practically all day and could barely absorb the great news! What a wonderful man to do the surgery at no cost to us! It was truly a Christmas miracle and the best ending to this year! This act of kindness has renewed my faith in people.

So, last night we got our little Maddie home who is resting now as she is really tired from all the surgery but expected to make a full recovery!

We are just so happy to have Maddie home! jack was so excited that he sat in the basement w/ her all last night playing songs to her on his guitar and singing!
